Practice Areas:
Mr. Watkins has a varied practice concentrated on counseling small, mid-size and family businesses, natural resources, both coal and oil and gas, tax and estate planning and litigation arising from these activities.  Mr. Watkins has counseled the owners of several successful businesses from their start-up or acquisition, growth, including securing both equity and debt financing, sale to larger companies or private equity firms or transfers to the next generation of the founder’s family.  This practice has necessarily led to Mr. Watkins’ active involvement in the affairs of these companies, through membership on the boards of several clients, participation in tax and estate planning for the controlling shareholders, and supervision of, and active participation in, the litigation arising from the client’s business operations or domestic affairs.

Education:
Mr. Watkins is a 1965 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a 1962 graduate of Haverford College.
